These Original Pear Blue Topaz Yellow Gold Stud Earrings Were Hand Fabricated In Solid 14 Karat Bezels and weigh over 5 carats. The earrings were gently created in our shop using the gemstones, 14 karat gold sheet, and earring posts and extra large backs. The precision of the bezels are impeccable and to think they were made without a die or mold and hand formed around the blue topaz!
Topaz is a symbol or strength and at the time of the Renaissance believed in its power to destroy curses and protect its wearer. These blue topaz were mined in Brazil and hand faceted in Montana. Blue Topaz are also a favorite of people with blue eyes as the earrings will really bring out the blue in your eyes!
Blue Topaz have a hardness of 8 on the Mohs Scale that goes from one (the softest) to ten (the hardest) so they are very durable.
